I had a lot of hope for the comics - sadly disappointed yet again. There's no other fandom I love and hate in equal measure *shakes her head at TPTB*

The comics are getting me to that hate point...I have to ignore them completely and go to my happy place or I risk souring on the whole thing. It's not even Chi so much any more (although the way they're butchering her character is just *awful*), but the general sloppiness and immaturity of the storylines. Super teen Noranti? Letting Grayza go if she promises to be really good and not come back? Give me a frelling break. That doesn't even work in Batman. Aeryn - contaminated, outlaw Aeryn and her human husband - leading the PKs? No time to show Sikozu's reaction to wiping out the Kalish, and having her last words be about the Magic Baby?

The plots are killing me. That and the red blooded Nebari. If you can't get something small like THAT right, why should I trust you with the big character moments?

Back at the LA con in '09 I asked the BOOM! boys if more ministries were coming, because I would have killed to write Crais. Now? Now, I'd probably refuse. I wouldn't want my name associated with the rubbish that is emerging, and I wonder what the hell O'Bannon is smoking.

It's killing me, because they had this rich cast of characters, yet it's all being wasted in telling the John and Aeryn story. Again.

I quit reading more than a year ago.

You're not missing anything but irritation. And I really do blame the plotting. I don't think the writing is the best thing ever, but I think krad is a good guy, doing the best he can with what's given to him. After seeing what Claremont did with his return to X-Men I don't believe creators are infallible, even if they were mad geniuses the first time around.

I would have LOVED to have read a Farscape mini by you. I remember my Farscape comic dream team of an ongoing by Brian K Vaughn & Chris Bachalo, with sporadic minis (each focusing on a different character) by Warren Ellis and Jae Lee...*shiver*

krad is just doign his best. I can't hate a guy that writes Crais so well I can hear him.

I don't think a Crais mini is going to happen. Both Keith and I wanted it to, and talked about it quite a lot, but attention seems to be taken by the current storyline. Given the plotting (or lack of) I'm happy to leave it that way. I'd rather have Bialar untainted by The J/A Agenda, thank you very much.
