OMG, 9 is so lovely! Really, it's way beyond pretty... Love the texture!

The others are great too, Esp. 6 (interesting effect), 1 (dark and sad, very effective), and 3 (I'm a sucker for black and white + color icons). Also love the softness of 8.

Why do you have to set the bar so high? I'm feeling pressure now :D

I wasn't too keen on 9 (I didn't like the cap and found it difficult to crop in a way I was ok with) but it's growing on me.

OMG, no way :D There was no need to hurry, though - I plan on posting them screened to the challenge thread first so that nobody will know which ones are mine. I do believe that people always vote fairly, but I still think that how we feel about someone as an icon-maker might subconsciously influence our choices. You know, when you think someone is masterful with icons, it's easier to see why they've chosen to do something and see it as pretty or artful while it could have looked just weird done by someone else and you wouldn't have given it so much thought. Consciously I always try to avoid this type of thinking and believe everyone else does too, but just once I'd love to see what happens if nobody knows who made which icons :D

More beautiful icons! 6 is really quirky and 9 is gorgeous...love your choice of making D'Argo the focus in number 5. As I said on Nymeria's LJ, I am finding it hard to do something with Rygel's but I will try anyway! Lovely entry!

With 6 I wanted to show John's fractured psyche and 5 took FOREVER...I really wanted to get all three of them in the shot, and it wasn't working, then just D'Argo and Aeryn, but that wouldn't work either! So I figured I'd focus on D'Argo, so he'd be represented in the set ;)

Good luck with Rygel! I suggest playing with the colors and contrast - there's not much you can do there with the crop :)
