20 A Bug’s Life Icons for Round 11 of  farscape_20in20.

My original claim was Durka Returns but I wasn't getting anywhere, perhaps because I had it in my head that I should do the icons and my picspam for the episode at the same time.  The lovely sayuri_x allowed me to change my claim to A Bug's Life and I was able to knock them out in a very short time.  Thank you!

Loving the same scene crops in particular #4.
Of the ACs, 4 and 5 are my favourites.
Of the themes, it's minor character and slash for me. The tiny text on slash is particularly appealing. :)

"Green" Rygel and "Quiet" have a stark beauty that catches the eye and doesn't let go, and so does "Color Splash".
But I absolutely LOVE the black&white of Artist's Choice - very, very intense.

I've found my black and white icons come out better if instead of just using one of the "convert to black and white" functions I use a couple different filters. For these I used Instant Photo (screen, 100%), then Black & White Green Filter (soft light, 100%), and then Neutral Black & White (normal, 100%).

They are so amazing, so great set! Large text is great and funny, and I really love blend; I take that one, quiet is so great and I love slash! Also minor character is amazing ;)

Same scene is great, I guess that my favorite is 3 and 5.

OMG, you made a full set so freaking fast and a great one at that! :O I'm amazed. These are really good.

I'm taking Name, it stands out to me with the awesome use of text (okay, so it was the theme, but still! Besides I'm a sucker for grungey fonts like that) and how well the lovely browns complement each other. It's a great D'Argo icon and those aren't that easy to find, so I'm delighted! I love how the chains kind of frame the icon.

My other favorites of the themes are Colour Splash (it's quite stunning and unusual, love her skin shade, how it's almost white but with the clearly blue shadows. Her expression looks so haunting), Green (dramatic and interesting, love the deep green and it has a sense of anxiety that I love), and Quiet (the contrast is amazing, very dramatic again). Large Text is hilarious especially now that I realize the O's kind of give him new silly eyes, lol :D And I also love Blend, I don't think you do blending icons that often? At least I don't remember seeing many. You should, cause this one is great. I also LOVE the character choice for Minor Character, the original interpretation of Passion, and the texture/brush/text thingy on Slash. I also really like the way that Full Body looks (to me) like it focuses on Moya instead of the characters; my eyes are drawn to the almost symmetrical room and the pretty lights, and only after that to the characters. It's unusual and pretty.

The same scene category is lovely and unexpected, it really has the feel of action while I think you often choose more quiet scenes for something like this? But this works great too! And I think it really embraces the theme of the round, cause first season is FULL of scenes like that one, hiding and running and shooting along Moya's corridors. Nice pick! And the crops and colors are lovely, I especially adore 3.

The ACs are very pretty and it's nice to see how you included some of the guest stars. 4 is my favorite with the beautiful crop and perfect contrast (it's so pretty that I'd snurch it if I didn't already have so many b&w Chiana icons on my account! :D), but I also really like 2, it has a lovely mysterious feel.

I'm pretty amazed myself! It isn't my favorite set but I don't hate it and I've never done one faster. Hopefully it's the start of faster iconning ;)

Colour Splash took FOREVER but I'm really happy with how it turned out. And my husband said the Large Text "glasses" made him look like Elton John LOL

I do, but to my surprise I couldn't get a set I liked out of a quieter scene. I tried both Aeryn/Larraq talks and Chiana/Rygel opening the container, a but wasn't feeling them. And I wanted a good bit of variety, instead of just a bunch of Aeryn or Chiana closeups (not that they're not lovely, but it doesn't feel like it fulfills the spirit of the challenge. I'm happy they worked for you!

Noo I should have checked but I have used thesame cap that you used in quiet! Oops! LOL
